How do you cope when you’ve lost both parents and you want to go to nursing school but you don’t want to worry about finances?

We are all for education, especially nursing. Good for you! With my daughter just graduating from nursing school a few months ago, I know this oh so well. If nursing is a dream, a goal, a passion for helping others then go for it! Don’t stop until you’re walking across that stage no matter how hard it gets keep going. Don’t talk yourself out of it before you get there. Change your way of thinking and self-talk by saying “I’m going to do this”,”I can do this”, “I will do this”! If you’re already fearing the “how and the “what ifs” you’re not ready for battle. You’re not ready for what’s ahead and you will feel defeated before you even start.

It will be challenging however, you can do this! If it were easy everyone could do it. There are several sources that can aid with the cost of nursing school. There’s financial aid and depending on what school you attend there are available nursing scholarships monies that are allocated to the “nursing program” that will aid students with their tuition, balance for housing, books, etc. Most students don’t know about this. Also, there’s a work study program that you can apply for. Work a few hours a week this can help go towards any unpaid balances or meals/miscellaneous items. Depending on your school you may qualify for “nursing” stipends just because of your major. There are several options that are out there that can assist you. You just need to do the work to find out what they are and how you qualify for them. Make them work for you!

NEVER EVER talk yourself out of something before you even get started. That’s called self-doubt. Don’t doubt yourself you can do ANYTHING you put your mind to even have your tuition taken care of. Believe me, I know it has happened to me. I’m a witness and it can happen to you too. You got this! You can do it! Get ready, plant your feet, stay focused, bend but don’t break and know that the best is yet to come. I know your parents would be proud!

Please keep us posted as we would love to hear about your enrollment & progress. We are praying for you and your success!
